In high-risk environments, electronic equipment must meet stringent safety standards to minimize ignition risks. As such, all computing devices deployed in hazardous areas must comply with internationally recognized certification systems such as ATEX, IECEx, or Class/Division (CID2). These certifications confirm that the equipment can be safely operated in classified zones and will not pose an ignition hazard under normal or abnormal operating conditions.

On August 6, 2025, the Intelligent Computing and AIoT Association (ICAA) organized an exclusive visit to the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI). Members from sectors including industrial control, IoT, electronic components, and communication technologies were invited to explore ITRI’s Electronics and Optoelectronics System Research Laboratories and Service Systems Technology Center, gaining in-depth insights into ITRI’s latest R&D achievements in smart manufacturing, advanced sensing, AIoT platforms, and integrated robotics applications.
